Nestled into the woods, this cozy yet open and airy non-smoking house whispers a welcome to you as soon as you step across the threshold. This is not an investment property, this is our home that we occasionally offer for rent and we hope that you will feel as comfortable here as we do. Located in “off the beaten path” Newfoundland in a gated community you’ll be surrounded by woods and nature, yet close to fine restaurants and activities. A much needed balm for a work weary soul this is a refreshing alternative to the cookie cutter resort community.
Perfect for a romantic getaway, yet our four bedrooms allow a comfortable sleeping capacity for 8 adults. Two bedrooms are located on the second floor, one on the first and one on the subterranean level. Both second-floor bedrooms have queen-sized beds. The master-bedroom has the advantage of a balcony overlooking the woods. The remaining two bedrooms are equipped with standard sized beds. Linens are provided, please bring your own bath and pool towels.
We have 2 full bathrooms, a living room with a beautiful gas fireplace, dining room, sun room, fully equipped kitchen (including dishwasher, utensils and microwave) and a basement with washer and dryer.
Because of the many windows within the living space, you can commune with nature from the inside or venture out for a hike. The rear of the property is surrounded by state game lands which allow for hours of hiking and trail exploration. Take a moment to sit on the bench next to the little pond and watch the wildlife.
The amenities of our gated community include our own 133 acre Crystal Lake, stocked annually (Pa fishing license required for those above the age of 16), the recreation island, featuring a heated swimming pool, basketball, handball, tennis, and bocce courts, 24 hour security patrols on our 56 miles of internal roads, 2 gated entrances/exits, and several green wildlife refuge areas.
We require a $350 Security Deposit and a signed and returned rental contract to hold a reservation. Payments can be made by PayPal, Cashier`s Check or Certified Check.
