This charming 2-bedroom historic cottage (built in 1826) is located on the beautiful Lackawaxen River in the Northern Pocono Mountains. Completely furnished (sheets and linens included), the house is nestled in outdoor beauty. Important features include a fully-equipped kitchen (service for 8), 2 bedrooms (sleeps 6 - one queen bed and four bunk beds), and 1.5 bathrooms. The living room opens onto an outdoor stone patio overlooking the river.

River activities right at your doorstep include swimming, fly-fishing, white water rafting/tubing, and canoeing/kayaking. Because this lovely cottage is adjacent to 250 private, wooded acres, many other outdoor activities such as hiking (miles of hiking trails available), snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, or hunting are also readily available.

$500/weekend (Friday to Sunday) $1000/week

Things to do:
Great area for the outdoor person or for someone who just wants to relax in a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. Right at your doorstep: 1) hiking (miles of hiking trails available); 2) bicycling (road adjacent to Lackawaxen River has been designated an Official Bike Path by the State of Pennsylvania); 3) swimming, fly-fishing, rafting, tubing, or canoeing in the Lackawaxen River; and 4) snowshoeing and cross-country skiing; and 5) bald eagle watching (birds migrate south from Maine and Canada to nest along Lackawaxen River during January and February).

Nearby (5 to 20 minutes away) seasonal activities include: swimming, boating, or fishing in one of nearby lakes (including Lake Wallenpaupack) or in Delaware River; many public hiking and nature trails available; horseback riding; golfing; bowling; and skiing, snowboarding, or snowshoeing. Family activities, especially for children, include family fun parks, wild animal parks, zoos, or paintball! For the more mature guest, a visit to one of the many museums, art galleries, and unique antique shops, gift or craft shops, or fine restaurants may be indicated.
